After working in a high stressed environment in my 20s and corporate in my 30s, I wanted more creative freedom in my life. A transformative trip to Europe made me realize how much I loved the intentional, effortless style of the women I saw. I searched for a handbag that matched that energy—luxurious but practical, stylish yet versatile, from street style to date-night elegance—and couldn’t find it. So, I decided to create it myself.

About Me
I’m Verniecia Gilbert the founder of Nie + Bert Co. I’ve always had an eye for affordable handbags, but I never imagined starting a handbag brand. I’m based in Metro Atlanta, love to travel, and rarely post on social media (but I’m working on it!). Health, wellness, and film are also big parts of my life. This brand is a reflection of all those things—intentional, stylish, and made for women who just know.
